EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT SHOPPING, CONSIGNING, AUTHENTICATION, AND TRUSTED LUXURY RESALE.Every handbag that enters our collection must earn its place. Before any item is accepted for consignment or offered for sale, it is carefully reviewed for authenticity, condition, and supporting details.
Our authentication process combines AI-assisted image analysis with experienced human review, helping us evaluate the details that matter most: logos, stitching, hardware, leather texture, interior markings, serial numbers, date codes, craftsmanship, and overall consistency with the brand.
Our authentication process includes:
We request proof of purchase whenever available and only accept items from consignors whose submissions meet our intake standards.
If a handbag cannot be confidently authenticated, it does not move forward. No listing. No sale. No exception.
While our full authentication process is proprietary, we are happy to share general insight into the standards we use to evaluate each handbag.
For buyers and consignors, this creates a higher standard of confidence, transparency and trust.

Shipping is calculated automatically at checkout based on several factors, including the item, package size, weight, destination, shipping carrier, handling needs, and applicable insurance.
Because every handbag, accessory, or jewelry piece may require different packaging and protection, final shipping costs are shown before payment is completed.
If you have specific delivery needs or require additional information about shipping options, we’re happy to assist.
To begin, email clear photos of your handbag to INFO@LOSTANDFOUNDRESALE.COM. Please include photos of the front, back, interior, hardware, corners, handles, serial number or date code, and any accessories that came with the item.
Before any handbag is accepted, our team reviews the submission for brand, condition, market demand, documentation, and authentication eligibility.
To protect our consignors, buyers, and resale program, we require the following intake information:
Once your photos and information are received, our team will review your submission and let you know if the item is eligible for intake.
When you drop off your handbag, we will:
After authentication is complete, we will evaluate pricing based on brand, condition, demand, comparable sales, and current market value.
If approved for consignment, we will prepare your consignment agreement for review and signature. Once complete, your handbag will be professionally photographed and listed across our selling platforms.
Every handbad must meet our standards before it moves forward. No guesswork. No shortcuts. No exceptions.
If you have any questions about intake, authentication, or pricing, we’re always available to help.
Every handbag in our showroom is protected with the same care and intention we bring to authentication. For the safety of our clients, consignors, and inventory, select handbags are displayed in locked cases and shown with staff assistance.
Guests may be asked to present a valid government-issued ID before viewing or handling certain handbags. This helps us protect high-value pieces, maintain accurate security records, and create a comfortable viewing experience for everyone.
When a handbag is requested, a team member will remove it from the case and assist throughout the viewing process. Handbags may be handled only inside the showroom and under staff supervision.
Some rare, high-value, or limited-edition pieces may not be available for standard showroom viewing and may require a private appointment or special arrangement.
Our showroom is supported by monitored display cases, controlled handling procedures, restricted access points, and security systems designed to protect every piece in our care.
If you would like to arrange a private viewing or inquire about rare or restricted items, our team will be happy to assist.
Lost & Found Resale maintains a multi-layer security system designed specifically for high-value luxury goods. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art security cameras, monitored alarm systems, and controlled-access storage, ensuring every handbag in our care is protected at all times.
During store hours, all items remain in locked and monitored glass cases, accessible only to authorized staff. After hours, every handbag is moved into a locked safe/vault room located behind a keypad-secured security door with restricted access privileges. This area is monitored by 24/7 surveillance and reinforced with motion detection and alarm sensors.
Our team follows strict daily security procedures, including:
Some rare, limited-edition, or exceptionally high-value items may require additional handling procedures, private viewing arrangements, or restricted display access.
These standards help us maintain clear chain-of-custody, protect consignor property, and give buyers confidence that every piece has been handled responsibly.
While the details of our full security process remain proprietary, our standard is simple: every item in our care is protected with intention, accountability, and respect.
